Our Core Values
01)
WE BELIEVE WE ARE CALLED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY
Because some of us grew up German Reformed and others Baptist and Evangelical, and yet others were Catholic or Moravian or nothing at all, sometimes it's hard to agree on matters of doctrine and biblical interpretation. BUT, what we as a church family affirm is that despite and through our differences, we are called to BE CHRIST'S PRESENCE in this place and at this time.
02)
WE BELIEVE WE ARE CALLED TO BE KIND & CHRIST-LIKE
Thanks to the culture wars, church scandals and behavior that is anything but Christ-like, the church suffers in this post-modern world from a less than stellar reputation. Since we may be the only Christ some individuals experience, we are committed to treating each other and those in the wider community with respect and kindness, grace and love. We believe love will draw others to Christ and HIs Way far better than scorn and judgment.
03)
WE BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF WORSHIP
In a world where we are taught to take care of ourselves first and others later; in a world where so many treat others with something far less than kindness, worship is where we remember who and whose we are. Worship is where we renew our walk in The Way of Jesus Christ. Worship is where we are fed with hope and challenged to be more than we are, so that we can then go into the world and make a difference through service and kindness.
